The University of Jaffna proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its medical students who have been awarded the prestigious MIOT Gold Medal for attaining the highest marks in the clinical component of Paediatrics.
In 2025, the honour was jointly awarded to Thirunathan Elamaran and Miss Simmenthiran Vineeba, recognizing their exceptional clinical knowledge, dedication, and performance in paediatric medicine. Their shared achievement reflects both academic excellence and a strong commitment to patient care.
Continuing this tradition of excellence, Miss Natgunam Abiramy emerged as the sole recipient of the MIOT Gold Medal in 2026. Her accomplishment highlights not only her individual merit but also the high standards of medical education upheld by the University of Jaffna.
